Finishing Technician

Finishing Technician 1st shift $17 - 22 As a Finishing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products. You will utilize the Plex system to verify product and procedure accuracy, perform slag removal, steam clean parts, and conduct final inspections. Your role involves preparing parts for shipment, including oiling, banding, and packaging, while maintaining a high standard of quality. Responsibilities + Use the Plex system to ensure product and procedural accuracy. + Remove slag using air guns and mallets. + Steam clean parts to remove dirt and chips. + Dip parts in rust remover and oil them before packaging. + Conduct final inspection of parts for quality assurance. + Band work pieces and prepare them for shipping. + Build pallets and package boxes for shipment. + Ensure product accuracy and quality before shipment. + Print and label boxes and containers. + Read and interpret blueprints to ensure product completion. Essential Skills + Experience with inventory management, hand tools, and production. + Proficiency in using tape measures and conducting inspections. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience with visual quality inspection of parts. + Strong attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with larger products is a must. + Willingness to be cross-trained. + Comfortable lifting over 35 lbs. + Prior shipping experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $22.60/hr.
