Project Engineer Manufacturing On-site (Peru IN) Salary: $89,500 DOE Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Education reimbursement Position Summary The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting engineering initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance production performance. This position focuses on developing and implementing technical solutions, optimizing processes, and supporting capital projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Working independently or as part of a team, the Project Engineer contributes to design, planning, and execution efforts while ensuring alignment with operational goals, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities u2022 Develop preliminary engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates for projects u2022 Conduct feasibility studies, research, and economic analyses to support project planning u2022 Define design criteria in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and operational needs u2022 Perform field work and translate completed projects into accurate as-built documentation u2022 Review engineering submissions from plant locations for accuracy, quality, and compliance u2022 Coordinate with equipment vendors to support layout development and installation planning u2022 Monitor project timelines to ensure installations are completed on schedule u2022 Review third-party designs and provide recommendations for improvement u2022 Support pre-project planning activities including scope development and proposal evaluation u2022 Prepare project documentation such as budgets, schedules, and justifications u2022 Assist with bid reviews and contract administration activities u2022 Track project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership u2022 Monitor project costs and ensure alignment with approved budgets u2022 Support installation and commissioning activities to ensure adherence to specifications Required Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field, or equivalent experience u2022 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment u2022 Ability to apply engineering principles to both design and operational challenges u2022 Experience with project management and contract administration processes u2022 Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and engineering best practices u2022 Proficiency in engineering economics and cost analysis u2022 Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools u2022 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills u2022 Willingness to travel up to 50% Preferred Qualifications u2022 Experience in food processing or high-volume manufacturing environments u2022 Knowledge of installation, construction, and project scheduling practices u2022 Familiarity with process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives u2022 Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments u2022 Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach Supervisory Responsibilities u2022 No direct reports u2022 May provide guidance, training, and technical support to other engineers or plant personnel Additional Details u2022 Relocation assistance available u2022 Travel required (up to 50%) If you meet the above qualifications and would like to apply for this position, please click APPLY NOW and upload your most current resume or you may email your resume to our recruiter, Heather Murphy at .
