Sr. Accountant

Description Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant on a contract basis to support core accounting functions, monthu2011end close activities, and financial reporting. This role will be onsite in the Brentwood, TN, area and is ideal for a handsu2011on accounting professional who can step in quickly and operate with minimal rampu2011up. Key Responsibilities: + Support monthu2011end and yearu2011end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations + Maintain and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance + Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting + Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed + Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances + Assist with process improvements and documentation of accounting procedures + Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data Requirements + Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance + 5+ years of progressive accounting experience + Strong understanding of general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting + Intermediate to advanced Excel skills + Ability to work onsite and manage multiple priorities in a fastu2011paced environment + Strong attention to detail and analytical skills + Prior experience in contract, interim, or projectu2011based roles preferred Why Apply: This contract opportunity offers exposure to a dynamic accounting environment and is well suited for a Senior Accountant who enjoys handsu2011on work and supporting business operations during a period of transition or increased workload.
