Jr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a motivated Jr. Accountant to join our team in Easton, Maryland. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail to contribute to key accounting functions such as payroll processing and accounts payable. The role is onsite and provides flexibility in start and end times, making it ideal for individuals eager to grow their skills and support the organization's financial operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of invoices. u2022 Handle payroll processing for approximately 100 employees. u2022 Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records and reports. u2022 Collaborate with the operations team to prepare weekly reporting and support system improvements. u2022 Assist in invoice processing and management of accounts receivable. u2022 Partner with the controller to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. u2022 Contribute to automating processes and improving operational workflows. u2022 Provide support in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and company policies. u2022 Address queries related to payroll and accounts payable in a thorough and timely manner. u2022 Support the team during audits or financial reviews as needed Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable and payroll processing. u2022 Proficiency in using accounting software. u2022 Strong technical skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. u2022 Ability to manage a high volume of transactions efficiently and accurately. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting field. u2022 Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. u2022 Familiarity with reporting processes and systems improvements is a plus.
