Hiring Saw /Machine Operator 1st and 2nd shift available $21.47 hr Job Description This role is responsible for operating hoop machines and saws to bend and cut bar stock materials used in the production of panels according to precise specifications. The position aligns work orders with cutting schedules, sets up and operates machinery, ensures quality standards, and maintains a clean and safe manufacturing work area. Responsibilities + Operate hoop machines to bend bar stock materials according to work order specifications. + Align work order requirements with the cutting schedule to ensure efficient production flow. + Transport coils and steel bars from inventory and load them onto the hoop machine safely and accurately. + Set up the hoop machine by entering specifications on the touch screen in accordance with work orders. + Monitor machine operation and verify that product quality meets specifications, adjusting settings as required. + Follow work order instructions completely, including hoop versus hump requirements, and seek approval for any exceptions before making parts. + Transport finished hoop products to the proper containers and ensure they are correctly staged. + Operate band saws and manual saws to cut bar stock in alignment with internal orders and work order requirements. + Nest cutting requirements to minimize machine setups and material waste. + Place finished pieces in appropriate containers, label them accurately, and move them to the staging area. + Monitor and maintain proper oil levels on saws to ensure safe and efficient operation. + Complete all required scanning and data entry in the ERP system to record production activities accurately. + Maintain good housekeeping and follow 5S principles to keep the work area organized and efficient. + Follow all safety practices and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials. + Clean machinery thoroughly each shift and perform preventive maintenance tasks as required. + Perform related duties and additional tasks as assigned to support production needs. _If interested in this opportunity please contact Chris Washington at Aerotek (864) 607-9059 or email resume to cwashington @_ _ _for faster response_ Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC.
