Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Position Purpose Under the supervision of the PGY2 residency program preceptor, the pharmacy resident monitors drug therapy to optimize patient outcome, provides direct care to patients of all ages, consults and provides information to physicians, nurses and other health care workers, performs procedures to assure the quality of service, and dispenses compounds medications ordered by the physician. This position may require working at either campus or alternate sites to maximize institutional and departmental goals. Minimum Qualifications + B.S. degree or higher in Pharmacy + Have entry level knowledge and skills equivalent to that which would be expected of a recent doctor of pharmacy or other appropriate advanced degree candidate. + Be licensed in the state of Connecticut by August 1st of the residency year + Interpersonal skills, assessment and analytical abilities to provide pharmaceutical care, manual dexterity for the performance of pharmaceutical compounding techniques, keyboard skills.
