Job Description Summary The Materials Manager will lead materials and warehouse operations for the Ju2019port Aero manufacturing facility in Houston. In this role, you will drive execution and continuous improvement across wing-to-wing materials processes, warehouse operations, and logistics activities to support safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. You will partner closely with manufacturing operations and cross-functional stakeholders to improve material flow, reduce inventory, strengthen ERP and planning discipline, and ensure effective material delivery and kitting solutions. This role requires a strong leader who can build team capability, drive standard work, and deliver operational results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities + Lead a team of materials and warehouse professionals across materials planning, inventory control, production control, procurement support, and warehouse operations + Partner with manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams to execute material delivery strategies that support on-time performance and operational goals + Drive continuous improvement across materials and warehouse processes to improve material flow, reduce inventory, and enhance execution + Ensure standard materials and warehouse processes, tools, and KPIs are implemented and sustained to deliver strong service levels at the lowest practical inventory cost + Implement LEAN materials and warehouse practices and standards + Support the SIOP process by contributing to procurement timing, order release timing, available capacity, and lead-time requirements + Lead capacity requirements planning (CRP) activities by gathering and loading information into planning tools, analyzing data, and providing regular updates + Ensure synchronization between the master schedule and production schedules using ERP systems, and other planning tools + Provide oversight, training, and support to ensure proper use of planning tools, system health, and master data adherence + Report and monitor key materials and warehouse KPIs, including inventory balance, inventory turns, on-time-to-promise, on-time-to-need, system health and usage, days to stock, inventory accuracy, and shortages + Lead and monitor logistics activities including incoming receipts, cycle counts, shortage management, and inventory accuracy processes + Establish and manage a metric hierarchy to ensure warehouse-related activities are performing to expectations, including those of contracted resources + Foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and problem solving across the team + Communicate business goals, programs, and process expectations clearly while using judgment and experience to solve operational challenges Required Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited university or college (preferred in Engineering, materials management, or Logistics) + At least 7-10 years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or related operations + At least 5 years of experience with people leadership in a manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environment + Experience working with ERP systems and planning tools + Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management, materials planning, logistics, and warehouse operations + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across functions Desired Characteristics + Experience in Aero package manufacturing, repair, or other complex industrial environments + Knowledge of SIOP, capacity requirements planning, and production scheduling + Experience with Oracle or similar ERP/planning systems + Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives + Strong safety and quality mindset + Ability to lead through change and drive operational rigor Additional Information GE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. Relocation Assistance Provided: No For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
