About the Role Under broad direction, supports the execution of category management and sourcing strategies for Baroid operations, with a focus on industrial minerals and supply markets. Works closely with Category Leadership, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to deliver cost-effective, reliable supply solutions aligned with business objectives. This role requires an understanding of mined minerals, processing (including milling operations), and logistics considerations such as global bulk shipping to effectively support sourcing decisions and supplier performance. Key Responsibilities u2022 Support execution of category and sourcing strategies in alignment with supply chain and business objectives. u2022 Analyze market trends, supplier performance, cost drivers, and logistics considerations (including bulk shipping) to identify improvement opportunities. u2022 Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define technical, operational, and commercial requirements for sourcing initiatives. u2022 Participate in supplier selection, negotiations, and contract development under guidance of Category Leadership. u2022 Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives across quality, delivery, and cost. u2022 Identify and deliver value-added opportunities, including cost savings, efficiency gains, and risk mitigation. u2022 Act as a liaison between the business and suppliers to resolve operational and commercial issues. u2022 Support category governance, compliance, and performance tracking activities. u2022 Contribute to implementation of sourcing processes, tools, and best practices. u2022 Assist in training and knowledge sharing across category and field teams. u2022 Participate in cross-functional projects and represent the category team as needed. u2022 Travel up to ~40%, including visits to supplier sites, mining operations, processing facilities, and remote locations as required. Qualifications Required u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline. u2022 Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, category management, or supply chain roles. u2022 Willingness and ability to travel up to ~40%, including to remote locations as required. Preferred u2022 Experience in oil & gas, chemicals, industrial minerals, or mining-related supply environments (Baroid-relevant). u2022 Understanding of mined minerals, milling/processing operations, and associated supply chains. u2022 Familiarity with global bulk shipping, logistics, and material transportation considerations. u2022 Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent). u2022 Experience supporting supplier negotiations and contract management. Candidates exceeding minimum job requirements may be considered for higher-level roles based on experience, additional qualifications, and business needs.
