Processing Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Under the direction of the LeadManufacturing Supervisor, the Processing Technician 2 is responsible forsupporting the injection molding departments' operational goals. Theprimary responsibilities of this role will include Start-up of all downmachines when ready, attending and actively participating in techmeetings, housekeeping, checking process parameters while ensuring allalarms are on and active, submitting first pieces to the Quality Lab,completing material changes, and setting scales. The ProcessingTechnician 2 will provide troubleshooting support to the productiongroup to correct problems. This role will act as the liaison betweenProduction and the Process Engineering dept. This will be achieved bymaintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications bysupporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions andrequired documentation. Essential Functions: Troubleshooting, diagnosingand making recommendations for processing issues. Starting up pressesafter; changes (mold changes, conversions, material changes, etc.),rehangs, repairs, mold cleans, or other reasons Regrind and scrapmanagement Assistance with Automation alarms and troubleshooting Enterall downtime and scrap codes accurately for future analysis using theProcess Monitoring System (Mattec) as needed. Work with the IndustrialEngineering team to ensure proper documentation is created anddistributed regarding process sheets and deviations. Respond toinquiries and communicate with other company personnel using the companyprovided radio as well as follow radio etiquette and policy on a dailybasis. Housekeeping (including purge, scrap parts, etc.) and properstorage of equipment, supplies etc. Assist in maintainingHellermannTyton's certifications by supporting: Corporate policies,procedures, work instructions, and required documentation. OtherFunctions Other duties may be assigned. Evaluate current stateprocessing conditions and recommend improvement plans as needed.Developing procedures for production related duties that may be used asreference/training materials. Work on audit preparedness for bothinternal and external audits. Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton'scertifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures and workinstructions. Success in this role will require Must have strongtroubleshooting skills Ability to communicate with all levels of theorganization. Must be detail orientated. Proven ability to workindependently or within a team. Strong computer skills. Extensiveknowledge of scientific injection molding principles and techniques.Extensive knowledge of DOE principles and techniques. Proven ability toprioritize and multi task.
