Process Technician / Process Engineer u2013 Conformal Coating & Staking San Jose, CA $90,000 u2013 $105,000 per year (DOE) Direct Hire Full-Time Adecco is assisting a leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider in San Jose, CA, in their search for a Process Technician or Process Engineer with specialized experience in conformal coating and staking programming and application . This is a critical, hands-on role supporting high-reliability electronic assemblies. The ideal candidate may come from a senior process technician or process engineering background and will bring strong knowledge of programming, operating, and optimizing automated conformal coating and staking equipment , along with deep understanding of the associated materials and process controls. Key Responsibilities + Program, set up, operate, and optimize automated conformal coating and staking machines + Develop, document, and maintain process parameters, work instructions, and SOPs + Select, qualify, and optimize conformal coating and staking materials (acrylics, urethanes, silicones, epoxies, UV?curable coatings, etc.) + Troubleshoot process, equipment, and material-related issues to reduce defects and downtime + Support new product introductions (NPI) , including process development, validation, and first builds + Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve yield, reliability, and throughput + Ensure compliance with IPC standards , customer specifications, and internal quality requirements + Perform routine preventive maintenance on coating and dispensing equipment + Train and support operators and technicians on conformal coating and staking best practices + Drive continuous improvement activities related to process stability and efficiency Required Qualifications For Process Technician candidates: + 5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing processes + Demonstrated experience programming and running conformal coating and/or staking machines For Process Engineer candidates: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) + 3+ years of process engineering experience in an EMS or electronics manufacturing environment For all candidates: + Strong knowledge of conformal coating and staking equipment and materials + Experience with automated or selective coating systems + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and process documentation + Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills + Experience working in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environment Preferred Experience + Experience with selective coating platforms (e.g., Nordson ASYMTEK, PVA, or similar) + Familiarity with IPC-CC-830, IPC-A-610 , or similar industry standards + Knowledge of curing methods, masking strategies, thickness control, and UV inspection + Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement exposure Why Apply Through Adecco? + Competitive salary range of $90Ku2013$105K , based on experience + Direct-hire opportunity with an established EMS provider + Technically challenging, hands-on role with real impact on product quality and reliability + Career flexibility for either a senior technician or engineer-level professional Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to apply To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: + The California Fair Chance Act + Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance + Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers + San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Massachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
