Learn more about the MIM process here:The Maintenance Mechanic III performs duties inthe installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair ofmechanical and electrical equipment on the production floor and includesOptiMIM's facilities systems such as building maintenance and groundsfunctionality. Performs routine duties while using mechanical,electrical, and PLC/controls skills to do tasks as needed to maintainoperation and safety of assigned equipment. Assists the SeniorMaintenance Technician and Maintenance Manager as point of contact forMMIs and MMIIs by providing direction for work activities from a list ofgiven tasks to keep them on track. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Takes lead in thediagnosing and repair of all assigned department equipment. (70%)Identifies, implements, and exercises independent judgment for PMs anddetermining course of action needed when issues arise. (15%) Performspreventative maintenance. (1-5%) Troubleshoots furnace operationsthrough Siemens PLC (1-5%) Other duties as assigned. (10%)KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE A minimum of 5 years of experience working in amanufacturing/production environment technical role. Experiencetroubleshooting and repairing semi or fully automated equipment. Abilityto observe, analyze, interpret situations, and solve problems withmechanical and electrical equipment/machinery. Knowledge and experiencetroubleshooting production running Siemens PLC hardware and software.Able to fully utilize a digital multimeter (DMM) for troubleshooting.High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent is required. Some technicaltraining or coursework in industrial equipment engineering andtroubleshooting through technical school or trade experience is highlydesired. WORK CRITERIA/CONDITIONS Regular use of hands to finger,handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with handsand arms. Ability to frequently stand, talk, hear, walk, or sit. Abilityto frequently climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and smell.Ability to regularly lift and/or move tools, materials and equipmentweighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Specificvision abilities required by this job include close vision, distancevision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and theability to adjust focus. Ability to follow electrical hot work safetyrequirements and wear arc flash equipment on an as needed basis.
