Workforce Centers assistemployers with labor exchange functions and assist job seekers with jobsearches and upskilling.Reports To: Youth Program ManagerSUMMARY DESCRIPTION:The Youth Workforce Professional will support the program operations ofthe Youth Programs of the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas.The position will work with customers ages 14-25 to conduct intake,eligibility, assessments, case management, referrals and will supportWorkforce Center events and youth recruitment.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Support and promote the overall brand of the Youth Program- Provide customers with a professional, warm, and inviting welcome- Assist other Workforce Center Teams with high-volume activities, including check-in, workshops, job fairs, and drop-in customer flow- Provide services and Youth Program Elements to Out of School youth ages 16-24 as outlined below: - Maintain monthly contact with customer assigned to the caseload through one-on-one case management- Attend Workforce Center training sessions as appropriate- Provide support for planning and execution of meetings, events, including workshops, job fairs and information sessions- Facilitate or deliver training classes/workshops to youth and other customers- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends in workforce development and youth services including Workforce Center Policy and Procedures- Must be able to attend and support events that occur occasionally during the evenings and weekends- Performs other duties as assignedPHYSICAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The physical demands described here arerepresentative of those that must be met by an employee to successfullyperform the essential functions of this job.
