This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see: Business Aviation Lender (BAL) is an expert in the private aviationindustry who will work closely with the Sr. Lending Officer & EquityBank (EQBK) Commercial Bankers to develop and manage the companysaircraft loan portfolio. The BAL is an important client-facing positionwith frequent interactions with ultra-high net worth prospects andclients seeking financing alternatives and advice for their aviationtransportation needs. The target candidate is a recognized expert withinthe private aviation industry with strong industry ties includingaircraft manufacturers, management companies, aviation brokers,consultants, and aviation counsel. The candidate must have goodcommercial awareness, excellent communication skills and be a teamplayer. The BAL will work with clients to understand their air travelrequirements to help select the right aircraft and provide financingoptions.Responsibilities: The role is a highly visible position withsignificant input on driving the strategic direction of EQBKs aircraftfinancing program and setting and managing program goals. As such, itwill require creating and building relationships with clients,prospects, industry bodies, and other market participants. Industryknowledge: o Deep knowledge of aviation sector trends, drivers, andglobal regulatory environment. o Leverage deep business aircraft sectorunderstanding and network to guide clients through complex financingtransactions. o Thorough knowledge of aircraft valuation drivers andtrends. o Ability to monitor and analyze changing industry dynamics andglobal regulatory framework. Functions: o Foster productiverelationships with the EQBK Commercial Bankers to drive new aircraftlending business o Be a professional representative for EQBK at aviationindustry events (i.e. NBAA, NAFA, Wichita Aero Club, etc.) . o Partnerwith Aircraft Valuation Specialists in assessing and valuing new andused aircraft collateral. o Appropriately assess risk when businessdecisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for EQBKsreputation, its clients and assets, by driving compliance withapplicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applyingsound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and businesspractices. o Consistently meet or exceed loan/deposit growth and feeincome goals as agreed and assigned by management. o Monitor marketconditions and competitor impacts in order to maintain competitive andprofitable relationships. o Develop and maintain a comprehensiveknowledge of all commercial products including loans, deposits, treasurymanagement and trade service products to facilitate cross-selling andenhancement of the client experience. o Demonstrate a strongunderstanding and working knowledge of loan documentation in order tomitigate risk to EQBK. Customer Service o Manage and servicecommercial customer relationships as assigned. o Enhance clientrelationships through regular contact, providing a high level ofcustomer service while demonstrating and understanding their businessand risk profile. o Retain clients with acceptable risk profiles. oDemonstrate a commitment to adhering to EQBK policies and procedureswhen managing client relationships. Profitability: o Demonstrateeffective behavior in maximizing customer profitability to meet EPShurdles as defined by EQBK annually. o Meet or exceed the financialgoals set by EQBK annually. Specifically, to optimize loan pricing, feeincome, and deposit rates. Credit Quality / Credit Administration: oMaintain acceptable levels of delinquencies/past dues, non-performingloans and criticized/classified assets as defined by EQBK. o Demonstratestrong credit skills in analyzing credit risk within the underwritingprocess. Gather compl te and adequate facts/information needed tounderstand and assess risk, while meeting deadlines as assigned. oCommunicate potential credit downgrades in a timely and effectivemanner. o Maintain credit and documentation exceptions within acceptablestandards as defined and set by EQBK. Quality of Work o Demonstrateconsistent quality of work product within the context of ongoing creditanalysis and risk management. o Exhibits solid time management skills,organization, planning, and priority in carrying out day to dayresponsibilities for customer management and business development. oDemonstrate sound business acumen and technical knowledge forunderwriting and ongoing risk management. Exhibit strong problem-solvingskills by providing effective solutions; look beyond the terpersonal Skills / Cooperation o Exhibit strong interpersonalskills to include a cooperative spirit, positive attitude in allinterpersonal relationships with co-workers, managers, and subordinates.o Contribute to a professional working environment with respect toindividual roles and responsibilities.
