Key Responsibilities + Lead the development of mechanical concepts, system strategies, construction documents, and technical reports for both new and existing building projects + Serve as the mechanical discipline lead on complex, multiu2011discipline projects encompassing HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and fire protection systems + Act as a trusted advisor to clients by performing technical analyses, evaluating design alternatives, conducting costu2011benefit studies, and presenting clear, actionable recommendations + Mentor and guide mechanical engineers and designers, fostering technical growth while ensuring consistent, highu2011quality deliverables + Oversee mechanical project execution, including scope definition, budget management, scheduling, and disciplineu2011specific performance + Contribute to business development through proposal development, client presentations, and longu2011term relationship building Essential Skills & Experience + 10+ years of experience with a professional Architecture/Engineering (A/E) consulting firm + Bacheloru2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering + Active North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license + Proven ability to lead projects and teams while managing competing priorities + Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface confidently with clients and internal stakeholders Additional Skills & Qualifications + Advanced expertise in mechanical systems and HVAC design + Proficiency with Revit MEP + Experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems + Demonstrated ability to apply engineering judgment to complex, realu2011world challenges Work Environment & CultureThis role is based in our new Uptown Charlotte office, offering a collaborative, employeeu2011owned environment that values leadership, mentorship, and longu2011term career development.
