Mold Maintenance Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Under the direction of the MoldMaintenance Supervisor, the Mold Maintenance Techs are responsible forevaluating, maintaining, and repairing molds. Also, completing allnecessary mold conversions. This will be achieved while maintainingHellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting allcorporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and requireddocumentation. Essential Functions: Responsible for cleaning allinjection molding tools at the end of each production run. Completelyfield strip mold according to the PM schedule. Make repairs or replacecomponents as needed, notifying management of repairs or replacementsbeyond in-house capability. All work is to be documented in toolingfiles and computer databases. Test and repair problems related toheaters, manifolds, and torpedoes. Other Functions Maintain the workarea and clean the shop and equipment on a regular basis. Keep the MoldMaintenance Supervisor posted on any supplies/tools needed. Buildshipping crates for molds being repaired by outside vendors. Keep themold vault organized. Perform other tasks as assigned. Keep theultrasonic tanks clean. Required Personal Protective Equipment Safetyshoes are to be worn at all times during your scheduled work hours. Department manager/supervisor will cover additional PPE as required ondepartment-specific work instructions. All employees entering themanufacturing area and other identified locations must wear thedesignated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Wearing your PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment. Success in thisrole will require Clean all injection molding tools at the end of eachproduction run. Must be able tobe forklift certified at HellermannTyton. Completed competencies forMold Maintenance Technician I and Mold Maintenance Technician WhatYou'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent required. Above-averagemechanical aptitude Ability to use precision measuring equipment andtool room equipment (mills, lathes, drill press, surface grinders, sawsto fabricate parts) Aptitude for very close tolerance precision work.Minimum 1 year of experience in a machine shop or Mold Maintenancedepartment with the ability to read blueprints. Work independently.Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. Ability for daily and weekendovertime work required. Experience working with injection molding tools.Prior forklift experience preferred Must be able to stand/walk for aminimum of 8 hours.
