FTE: 1.00 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 1 0730-1800 withWednesdays off Holidays: on call rotation Weekends: on call rotation JobSummary: Handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary duringthe interventional radiology procedure. Has an understanding of theprocedure being performed. Has the necessary knowledge and ability toensure quality patient care during the procedure and is constantly onvigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Performs other relatedduties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, aswell as quality performance. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 1 yeardirect patient care experience is required. In lieu of 1 yearexperience, see education requirement. A minimum of 2 years of directpatient care experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Completionor currently enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree program inhealth care program or science related field is required within 6 monthsof hire OR 3 years of health care experience and able to performindependently in the scrub tech role. Completion certificate, diploma ordegree from an accredited Surgical Technician program is preferred.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic LifeSupport for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalentis required within 3 months of hire.
