What You Will Contribute: Step into a role thatkeeps our entire operation moving. As the leader of daily warehouseactivities, you'll oversee everything from inventory accuracy toshipping coordination, freight scheduling, warehouse layout, and teamtraining. This position is essential to ensuring products flowefficiently, customers receive orders on time, and the warehouseenvironment stays organized, safe, and optimized for success. Thisposition will be responsible for the daily warehouse operations at thedistribution branches locations. Duties include, but are not limited to,helping design warehouse layout, inventory audits, inventory control,receiving product, assigning or reassigning locations, pulling andshipping orders as well as getting freight quotes from multipledifferent vendors and coordinating freight shipments. This position willalso be tasked with the training of all personnel assigned to this area.Job Duties: Take responsibility for all daily activities related towarehouse function, including but not limited to - shipping, receiving,cycle counts & overall organization of warehouse. Enter receivedproduct into Badger Meter's system. Report any damaged receivinggoods to freight shipment companies to open claims and tracking thesethrough resolution. Schedule outgoing freight shipments. Coordinate with customer's when they would like to receive shipmentsand notify the freight carrier. Perform daily cycle counts andinvestigating any discrepancies with quantities or bin locations - workwith branch manager to help plan for inventory getting low on specificproducts. Learn different customers specific specifications tocorrectly fulfill orders shipped out of the warehouse. Organize andmaintain returned product and non-conformance inventory to accuratereflect counts. Responsible for processing through completion. Load/unload freight and/or packages from delivery/pickup vehicles; thismay require employee to work overtime to receive the last truck. Liaison between the shipping staff, internal departments, and freightforwarders to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders. Arrangestransportation schedules with carriers. Use appropriate packagingmaterials to ensure all products/parts are properly packaged to preventdamage and/or loss. Complete pre-packaging and/or final packaging ofcustomer orders.
