We are seeking candidates for a Uveitis positionthat will involve patient care, teaching and research. The position willbe estimated at the following: uveitis (.4 FTE) and one of thefollowing: comprehensive, medical retina or glaucoma (.4 FTE) andacademic time (.2 FTE) ophthalmology position. Candidates must beeligible for a Wisconsin medical license at time of hire. Researchopportunities are available for interested candidates. This position hasbeen identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerablepopulations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initialcaregiver check to be eligible for employment under the WisconsinCaregiver Law and every four years. Key Job Responsibilities: -Care ofophthalmology patients with a portion of practice focused on thediagnosis and treatment of uveitis eye diseases and a portion ofpractice providing clinical ophthalmology care in comprehensive, medicalretina or glaucoma. -Responsibilities will include the care of patientsin Ophthalmology Clinics at the UW Health Clinics, University StationEye Clinic and possibly the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital,Unity Point Health Meriter Hospital and clinical outreach site(s).Patient visits include walk-in and/or emergency patients.-Responsibilities will also include participation in ophthalmology callduties. -The position will be responsible for teaching and mentoringresidents, fellows, and medical students with a portion of time allottedto clinical research activities and academic service to the department.-Participate in Departmental, School of Medicine and Public Health, andUniversity of Wisconsin committees as assigned.Department: School ofMedicine...
