Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board Why you'll love this job u2022 American Airlines is seeking a motivated, energetic Designer/Senior Designer to join the Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) team at the Flight Academy in Fort Worth, TX. u2022 Being a part of the Flight Training & Standards organization means that you will contribute to successfully training over 16,000 of the worldu2019s safest pilots. This position reports to the Manager, Flight Instructional Systems Design. What you'll do _As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations._ u2022 Analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain pilot and instructor training curriculum for qualification, continuing qualification, and requalification courses u2022 Collaborate with internal departments (e.g.: Flight Operations, Inflight, Dispatch Operations, Pilot Records, Training Scheduling, Safety, Quality Assurance, etc.), and external agencies (e.g. FAA, DOD, TSA, IATA, etc.) to ensure the quality, efficiency, relevancy and regulatory compliance of AQP documentation u2022 Ensure timely updates to all course curricula through effective tracking of and adherence to all required development timelines u2022 Develop, manage, and audit training documentation (AQP manuals, guides, supporting materials) u2022 Analyze curriculum proposals from instructor curriculum proposals to ensure compliance. u2022 Maintain and update training footprints within MINT TMS u2022 Create, update, perform testing and root cause analysis on electronic job aids to identify defects, verify performance, and ensure optimal user experience. u2022 Perform routine data-informed audits of all AQP material for compliance with various company and/or regulatory requirements u2022 Collaborate to assess safety risks associated with proposed changes in accordance with American Airlinesu2019 SMS process All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in an aviation or analysis related field or equivalent experience u2022 Two years of experience related to the aviation field Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience u2022 FAA Pilot or Dispatcher Certificate u2022 Masteru2019s degree in relevant field u2022 Technical aviation experience in Part 121/135 or military operations u2022 Two years of audit or analysis experience u2022 Experience with MINT TMS u2022 Experience with FrameMaker Skills, Licenses & Certifications u2022 Adobe Creative suite, including FrameMaker & Acrobat Pro u2022 Microsoft Office, including OneNote, Access, Excel, Teams & SharePoint u2022 Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision u2022 Sufficient experience to comprehend commercial aircraft systems, operational procedures, flight maneuvers, and line operations u2022 Ability to produce a quality, error-free product with minimal revision required u2022 Above average non-verbal, verbal and written communication skills u2022 Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in team processes u2022 Exceptional aptitude for task analysis, reasoning, fact-finding, prioritization, decision making and problem solving What you'll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
