JOB REQUIREMENTS: RS Acft Painter IIin GAC Appleton Unique Skills: musthave the ability to work in a group or on your own. Education andExperience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years inrelated paint processes. Aircraft industry experience preferred.. ValidDrivers License required.. Position Purpose: The Aircraft Painter IIworks under minimum supervision to safely prepare, paint and detailaircraft according to schedule using company quality standards andoperating procedures. Job Description Principle Duties andResponsibilities: Essential Functions: Safely perform aircraftpreparation, painting, and detailing of aircraft under minimalsupervision. Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensurecompliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and qualityspecifications. Follow standard operating procedures when using toolsand equipment such as dual action sanders, hydraulic lift platforms andpaint sprayers. Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paintstrippers and corrosion-preventive chemicals and use protectiveequipment as required. Comply with safety rules and procedures and bealert for unsafe conditions. Address unsafe conditions before puttingpeople or property at risk. Use the material tracking system to createparts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work. Assist with aircraftmovement in hangars. Offer continuous improvement ideas/participate incontinuous improvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand theEnglish language. Able to use tools and equipment associated with theaircraft painting process. Ability to read and interpret blueprints andengineering documentation. Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test toobtain respirator certification. Able to climb ladders and stairs, workin small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift. Mustbe computer literate. working knowledge of paint processes and products(lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics) is necessary. Mustbe able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Thisjob requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand theEnglish language.
