Unit attorneys work with law enforcement investigators to investigate and prosecute alleged violations of New Hampshire election laws, including wrongful voting, voter suppression, campaign finance, political advertising, and notarial misconduct. Unit attorneys also provide legal counsel to the New Hampshire Secretary of State's office and defend the Secretary of State in election-related civil litigation.Candidates with at least two years' criminal prosecution experience and excellent analytical and writing skills are encouraged to apply. No previous civil litigation experience in required, but the position presents a great opportunity for a criminal law practitioner to acquire civil litigation and counseling experience.The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
