Office Location: 2000 Health Park Drive, Brentwood, TN 37027 Works collaboratively with HCA Healthcare, Physician Services Group (PSG), and Division leadership, to ensure the service lineu2019s full compliance with HCA Healthcare policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in alignment with the Ethics and Compliance Officer (ECO) role. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Communicating compliance standards and expectations across the Urgent Care Service Line Distributing the Code of Conduct and providing oversight of associated training Coordinating and monitoring completion of required compliance training Advising leaders and colleagues on ethics and compliance-related matters Conducting, supporting, and cooperating with investigations Promoting and ensuring a culture free from retaliation for good faith reporting Coordinating and supporting corporate monitoring and auditing activities Reviewing internal audit reports and investigative reports Collaborating with the corporate Ethics and Compliance committees and teams as needed Overseeing clinic compliance with record retention requirements Collaborate with operational leaders to support shared decision-making related to outcomes and implementation strategies Revises, maintains, and enforces operating procedures related to ethics, privacy and compliance in alignment with HCA Healthcare corporate guidance and policies Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in all areas of compliance, including HIPAA. Communicates standards and processes while identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies in ethics, compliance, and privacy as the service line expands Monitors enterpriseu2011required training compliance, including Code of Conduct, ADA, HIPAA, physician relationship training, and required refresher courses Reviews reporting and analytics tools to identify trends, risks, and emerging issues related to ethics and compliance within the urgent care clinics Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal and state laws with relation to ethics, compliance, patient privacy and release of information Directs and provides oversight for any Health Information Management (HIM) and privacy related investigations, ensuring appropriate safeguarding of protected health information (PHI) and timely reporting of breaches or process breakdowns, if applicable. Provide oversight and strategic direction to the contract management team, ensuring standardization and compliance in alignment with the Legal team Leads regulatory oversight related to referrals, Stark compliance, and associated auditing procedures. Oversees processes for the retrieval, release, and retention of medical records in collaboration with supporting teams, ensuring compliance with retention requirements Maintains alignment with quality and accreditation teams on all compliance-related matters, including CLIA renewals and other required certifications Leads regular, proactive compliance calls with markets and divisions, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking open issues through resolution Establishes investigative workflows and determine appropriate courses of action, for all types of investigations, including patient complaints, colleague concerns, clinical compliance matters, and retaliation allegations. Develop and implement proactive strategies to integrate ethics and compliance changes, updates, and regulatory guidance into operational workflows across the Urgent Care Service Line. Prepare written responses and issue guidance using best practices, corporate resources, policies, regulatory research, and historical precedent. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bacheloru2019s degree required Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences, including senior leadership. Advanced analytical and problemu2011solving skills, with the ability to evaluate large volumes of data, identify patterns, and develop wellu2011supported recommendations. Demonstrated ability to interact, build, and foster strong positive working relationships with teammates, leaders, business partners, stakeholders, and clinicians at all levels throughout HCA Physician Services, including senior management. Must be comfortable in a highu2011visibility, fastu2011paced environment. Ability to excel in an environment characterized by discovery, change, and regulatory unpredictability. Proven capability in managing multiple ongoing projects, simultaneously prioritizing deadlines, and preparing presentations or reports with findings and recommendations. Ability to perform assignments under general supervision with a high degree of initiative, judgment, critical thinking, and decisionu2011making. Strong skills in planning, organization, and project management, with the ability to facilitate decisions and drive projects to completion.
