Must possess the skills to develop effective working relationships, an ability to work independently and as a team member of Levy, strong willingness to help out at every level and an ability to manage multiple projects. Position focus and priorities u2022 Supervises and coordinates the activities of the department including training, coaching and service standards u2022 Establish rapport with guests, team members, and partners u2022 Delivers on the expected guest experience u2022 Leads by example; delivers on promises u2022 Recognizes the need to effectively manage change u2022 Has drive to understand importance of business and operational efficiency u2022 Organized with the ability to learn to prioritize based on business Major Areas of Responsibility All major areas of responsibility are achieved through the Core Signature Guidelines. u2022 Supervises and coordinates the activities of the department including scheduling, training, coaching and service standards u2022 Ensure appropriate teaming levels and inventory levels are maintained throughout the event u2022 Establish rapport with guests, team members, non-profit groups and subcontractors u2022 Ensure guest expectations have been met and exceeded at all times u2022 Execute security, safety, responsible alcohol service and sanitation standards u2022 Ensures all equipment is setup and operating properly u2022 Responds and assists with all guest service issues and notify leadership with all concerns as necessary u2022 Maintains service areas u2022 Follow cash handling guidelines with accuracy and timeliness. Ensure assigned areas and events are fully stocked and ready for operation u2022 Ensure areas and events are clean, opened and closed down properly and follow proper reconciliation procedures for event u2022 Completes daily and event paperwork in a timely and accurate manner u2022 Communicate guest issues to management u2022 Ensure safety and sanitation standards are maintained within our operations, which includes, compliance with cleaning, uniforms, work practices, maintenance of equipment and work spaces, food storage, food preparation and ongoing training and education u2022 Supervise all team members, non-profits and subcontractors assigned for the duration of the event u2022 Manage others effectively, including developing work plans, assigning tasks, reviewing work performance and addressing issues as you observe them u2022 Ensure all team members in their assigned area are ready to perform their duties u2022 Lead the team by example and through delegation and follow up u2022 Assist fellow team members where necessary u2022 Promote a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale Job Requirements u2022 Previous supervisory experience required u2022 Able to communicate effectively with management team, guests, non-profit groups and team members by speaking and comprehending English u2022 Time management, organization and multitasking skills u2022 A demonstrated ability to lead by example u2022 English reading, writing, math and computer skills required u2022 Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates u2022 Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts u2022 Possible hazards include, but are not limited to slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains Apply to Levy today _Levy is a member of Compass Group USA_ Click here to Learn More about the Compass Story ( Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
