Accounts Payable Specialist - Bilingual Korean

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist who is fluent in Korean and English to join our team in San Diego, California. This is a contract position with the potential for permanent employment, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while ensuring efficient accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate will excel in managing invoice processes, vendor communications, and maintaining compliance with company policies. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the accounts payable inbox, ensuring invoices are directed to the appropriate approvers and processed accurately. u2022 Oversee the payment run process and ensure timely disbursement of funds. u2022 Review all invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and correct coding to the general ledger. u2022 Process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies. u2022 Address inquiries from internal teams and external vendors, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve outstanding account balances. u2022 Set up new vendor accounts, including verification of banking information, and maintain vendor records. u2022 Create and manage purchase orders to support procurement needs. u2022 Assist with month-end reconciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Support annual and quarterly audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. u2022 Collaborate with Korean partners and internal stakeholders, effectively communicating in both Korean and English. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role. u2022 Proficiency in managing accounts payable processes, including coding invoices and reconciling accounts. u2022 Strong knowledge of payment methods such as ACH and check runs. u2022 Fluency in both Korean and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. u2022 Experience with processing employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. u2022 Familiarity with creating and managing purchase orders. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to recommend process improvements for greater efficiency.
