No County Erie Street Address Buffalo Psychiatric Center 400 Forest Avenue City Buffalo State NY Zip Code 14213 Duties Description Buffalo Psychiatric Center (BPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited hospital, is recruiting a Psychiatrist 3, Director of Outpatient Psychiatry to provide clinical and administrative oversight of medical staff assigned to outpatient programs and clinics located in Butler, Lancaster, North Tonawanda, Lakeside, and Zoar. The Director of Outpatient Psychiatry will directly supervise all outpatient psychiatry providers at BPCu2019s five outpatient clinics and Assertive Care Treatment (ACT) team to ensure treatment programs align with the clinical mission of patient-centered care at BPC. Duties include, but are not limited to:u2022 Providing clinical and administrative supervision, evaluation, and development of outpatient medical staff including Psychiatrists and Nurse Practitioners.u2022 Collaborating with BPC leadership in the development and support of clinical programs, policies, and initiatives. u2022 Coordinating training and supervision of resident physicians, medical students, APP students, and fellows with the Medical Education Site Director.u2022 Providing consultation to outpatient providers and residential services and coordinating patient care with the Inpatient Director of Psychiatry.u2022 Overseeing the quality of treatment services provided by medical staff and ensuring compliance with OMH standards.u2022 Conducting case reviews, providing treatment recommendations and second opinions, participating in treatment planning, and providing direct clinical care to patients as needed.u2022 Participating in Administrator-On-Call coverage.u2022 Assisting with recruitment, retention of outpatient providers.About BPC:Buffalo Psychiatric Center (BPC) is a Joint Commission accredited Office of Mental Health facility providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals 18 years of age and over. BPC offers a network of inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, vocational, residential, and peer services in Erie, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, and Niagara counties. Minimum Qualifications u2022 Possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State; and u2022 Certification in psychiatry by the ABPN; andu2022 Two (2) years of post-board certification experience as a member of the psychiatric staff in a psychiatric hospital and/or in the psychiatry department of a general hospital, one (1) year of which must have included clinical supervision of other psychiatrists, psychiatric residents, or fellows.
