Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing essential support in a clinical setting, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care. Responsibilities + Conduct follow-up appointments and patient updates through data entry. + Answer inbound phone calls and respond to inquiries effectively. + Order laboratory tests as required and relay lab results to patients. + Schedule follow-up appointments for patients. + Provide clinical support and patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Essential Skills + 1+ year of experience in medical assisting. + Proficiency in electronic medical records, specifically Athena EMR. + Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures. + Excellent customer service and communication skills. + Ability to manage appointments and handle patient care efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Medical Assisting diploma or certification preferred. + High School Diploma is required. + RMA certification is advantageous. + Experience with front desk operations, insurance, and BLS certification is a plus. Work Environment The position requires working onsite at a clinic, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The work environment is supportive and collaborative, with a focus on professional growth. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
