Overview Maintaining recycle, hazardous, and non-hazardous waste and determining and fulfilling departmental requests for pickups and deliveries. Communicates and acts as liaison between EHS and departments throughout plant. Communicates with EHS management in determining plant needs in regards to recycle and hazardous waste. Military Occupational Specialty Code: 91E, 91C, EM, HT, MK, DC, 1161, 1341, 3E1X1 Responsibilities u2022 Oversee, manage, EHS Recycle and Waste storage areas. u2022 Ensure proper procedures are implemented and followed by EHS personnel in conducting day to day operations. u2022 Maintain Hazardous Waste Cage and Recycle Area. u2022 Maintain, and manage backlot operations in regard to recycle and waste pickups, drum deliveries. u2022 Communicate with Shipping to ensure picks ups and deliveries are scheduled. u2022 Communicate with departments in regard to their EHS needs for recycle, hazardous, and non-hazardous waste. u2022 Act as liaison between department and EHS in determining departmental needs to waste pick-ups, recycle pick-ups, and drum requests. u2022 Conduct satellite and universal waste weekly inspections u2022 Manage all paperwork involving waste pick-ups and deliveries HazWaste Tech: On-site waste pick-ups u2022 all departments Waste processing u2022 labeling u2022 sampling u2022 liquid transfers u2022 caustic u2022 solvent u2022 oil u2022 depressurizing aerosol cans u2022 assist with recycling cage chores Hazardous Material/Waste Handling u2022 lab pack assistance u2022 load transporter trucks when needed u2022 bulk waste preparation Waste Segregation Qualifications Required: u2022 Must be 18 years of age or older u2022 No experience required and on the job training provided u2022 No high school diploma, GED or college degree required u2022 Knowledge of waste streams modified / current u2022 1 year of forklift experience required; valid driver's license; Electric Pallet jack experience Preferred: u2022 One (1) year of similar work experience REQNUMBER: 149118ABM is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer qualified applicants without regard race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran or any other protected factor under federal, state, or local law.
