Project Manager

Job Title: Project Manager Job Description This position involves managing multiple projects focused on sustaining engineering and product development within a collaborative environment. The role involves working on electronics for equipment such as displays, clusters, and control modules. The successful candidate will play a significant role in supply chain management and sourcing components from suppliers. Responsibilities + Manage several projects simultaneously including gauges, clusters, displays, sensors, and controllers. + Dedicate 75% of time to project management activities related to project health, ensuring projects are on track and meet deadlines. + Use charts to manage and track project progress. + Provide updates to project stakeholders. + Manage projects predominantly within Hardware Development and Electrical Engineering. + Collaborate with Software and Mechanical Engineering teams. + Spend 25% of time on hands-on technical activities, mainly testing. Essential Skills + 7+ years of experience. + BS in Electrical Engineering or similar field. + Strong experience in project management. + Ability to manage several projects concurrently. + Proficiency with charts for project tracking. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Experience in hardware and electrical engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with supplier and vendor management. + Experience in automotive modules, telematics, and display clusters. + Experience in sustaining and obsolescence strategies. + Knowledge of PCB design and firmware. + Familiarity with Altium software. Work Environment The team consists of approximately 20 people, fostering a hands-on and collaborative environment. Business casual attire is expected, and the standard hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Darien, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
