Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant/ Sr. to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. In this role, you will support foundational accounting projects and ensure accurate financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a self-directed environment and is proficient in Multiview accounting software. Responsibilities: u2022 Set up and manage prepaid accounts using Multiview tools to streamline financial operations. u2022 Establish and maintain the Fixed Asset module, including capital accounting and reporting. u2022 Review general ledger account activity to ensure proper coding and develop clear guidelines for future entries. u2022 Conduct an overall assessment of Multiview system setup and recommend best practices for optimization. u2022 Track cash and investments, forecast financial needs, and create decision tools for cash transfers. u2022 Assist in budget preparation, including the development of tracking documents and key performance indicators. u2022 Codify purchasing and accounting policies to ensure consistent and efficient processes. u2022 Reconcile vendor credits, process statements promptly, and address any discrepancies. u2022 Evaluate inventory setup to ensure accuracy and compliance with best practices. u2022 Support tax-related activities, including corporate tax returns and sales tax reporting. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in Multiview accounting software is mandatory. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and analyze data. u2022 Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation. u2022 Experience with fixed asset accounting and reporting. u2022 Familiarity with budget management and financial forecasting. u2022 Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. u2022 Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required.
