Director, Project Engineering u2013 Remote (United States) This position is responsible for providing project leadership for Curiau2019s key capital investments in the Drug Substance and Drug Product network. The Director of Project Engineering is primarily responsible for managing the execution of capital projects to support Curiau2019s strategic capital initiatives. These will include projects to expand and modernize the manufacturing infrastructure across the network. The incumbent will work to successfully execute projects in close collaboration with the other global and site functions. The individual will also work in close collaboration with the site engineering function to provide guidance and oversight of the site-led capital projects. This position interfaces with Curiau2019s manufacturing plants and other departments within Curiau2019s network and reports to the Senior Director of Project Engineering. We proudly offer u2022 Generous benefit options (eligible first day of employment) u2022 Paid training, vacation and holidays (vacation accrual begins on first day of employment) u2022 Career advancement opportunities u2022 Education reimbursement u2022 401K program with matching contributions u2022 Learning platform u2022 And more Responsibilities u2022 Deliver key strategic capital investments by directly managing assigned major capital projects for the API and DP networks u2022 Manage global project engineering resources seconded to assigned capital projects u2022 Provide above site technical oversight to the API and Drug Product engineering teams in close concert with the site leadership teams using a matrix approach u2022 Assist in the maintenance of Curiau2019s long-range capital plan in alignment with the strategic plan and site master technical plans u2022 Develop the technical talents and capital project management expertise of Curiau2019s site-based engineering teams to deliver robust solutions and on-time delivery of Curiau2019s CDMO API and DP programs u2022 Provide functional leadership for assigned CDMO DS and DP programs, ensuring timely execution in accordance with client-based project expectations and deliverables u2022 Strengthen Curiau2019s capital project management processes in conjunction with the Global Program Management office u2022 Provide functional expertise to deliver technical solutions for Curiau2019s site-based cost improvement programs via improvements in facility and utility infrastructure, including initiatives in improved reliability u2022 Provide solutions via Curiau2019s technical network to resolve issues challenging Curiau2019s ability to deliver finished goods at the appropriate levels of quality and efficiency u2022 Provide functional expertise for Curiau2019s internal site-to-site technical transfer initiatives requiring capital improvements and investment u2022 Incumbent will supervise engineering resources either directly or in a matrix approach as part of their job responsibilities u2022 40% travel Qualifications u2022 BS in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical or related Engineering Science u2022 Minimum fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical engineering (aseptic/sterile product facility), plus five (5) years in a team leadership role of professional-level individual contributors with Project Management and/or Plant Engineering Management experience u2022 Experience managing major capital projects greater than $10M in total investment u2022 Expertise in capital project management, including PMP principles and key project control techniques u2022 Demonstrated aptitude and attitude to become immersed in the resolution of technical challenges and technological advancements u2022 Proven project management, analytical, problem solving skills u2022 Strong knowledge of global pharmaceutical regulations u2022 Excellent relationship management, communication, and presentation skills u2022 Ability to effectively manage and influence cross-functional teams u2022 Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills u2022 Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and achieve significant, complex goals and objectives u2022 Demonstrated leadership with proven success in challenging the status quo u2022 Strong organizational and planning skills, as well as a high energy level and initiative u2022 Preferred working knowledge of key pharmaceutical systems, including o Formulation Processes Equipment o Downstream Processes Equipment, including UF/DF and Chromatography o Sterile Filling Processes o Sterilization and Lyophilization Processes o CIP Processes o Critical Utility Systems (WFI, CS, Cleanroom Facilities, and HVAC) o Validation Other Qualifications u2022 Must pass a background check u2022 Must pass a drug screen u2022 May be required to pass Occupational Health Screening u2022 May be required to obtain and maintain gowning certification u2022 May be required to obtain and maintain media qualification Pay Range: 172,000-$215,200/year Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
