Job Opportunity: Certified Traffic Control FlaggerWe are seeking reliable, safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Certified Flaggers. In this role, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring the safety of our road crews, motorists, and pedestrians. If you are observant, dependable, and take pride in maintaining a secure work zone, we want to hear from you.------------------------------------------------------------------------ Key Responsibilities- Traffic Control: Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely through and around construction zones using paddles, hand signals, and radios.- Safety Enforcement: Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control signs, cones, and barricades according to project specifications.- Communication: Coordinate closely with fellow flaggers and equipment operators to ensure seamless traffic flow.- Awareness: Remain constantly alert to changing road conditions and potential hazards to prevent accidents. Qualifications and Requirements- Certification: Must possess a valid, state-approved Flagger Certification (e.g., ATSSA or NSC).- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8-10 hours) in various weather conditions (heat, rain, or cold).- Communication: Strong verbal skills and the ability to give clear, authoritative directions.- Reliability: Must have dependable transportation and a track record of punctuality.- Equipment: Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (cones, signs, and stands).
