Essential Functions- Serves as Administrator of Prevention Services- Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness of prevention programs and operations- Through subordinate administrators, oversees the operations of prevention services, including Community Connections, Family Advocacy Centers, and Housing and Cash Assistance.- Represents the Department at various Departmental, public, and private meetings with regard to Family First Prevention Services- Serves as full line supervisor- Provides technical assistance and consultation to various committees and Department staff in the development of child welfare programs Minimum Qualifications- Requires an MSW or masters degree in a related human services field.- Requires four years of administrative experience in a child welfare or social service organization. Preferred Qualifications- 4 years of professional experience in the management of a large program involving multiple parties, sites, or teams in a child welfare or social service organization.- 4 years of professional experience conducting results-oriented long-range planning activities and achieving demonstrable outcomes in a child welfare or social service organization.- 3 years of professional experience in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures in a public or private organization.- 3 years of professional experience conducting qualitative reviews in a public or private organization.- 3 years of professional experience serving as a representative of a public or private organization. Conditions of EmploymentRequires ability to pass a background check.Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requiresappropriate, valid driver's license.This position has been found to meet the requirements in section 4A-101of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act requiring the occupant/employeeto file a Statement of Economic Interest. The Illinois Governme ntalEthics Act (5 ILCS 420/4A et seq.) requires certain state officials andemployees to file annual Statements of Economic Interest with the Officeof the Secretary of State that will be made available for examinationand copying by the public. All employees required to file a Statement ofEconomic Interest are also required to file the Supplemental Statementof Economic Interest with the Executive Ethics Commission. (SeeExecutive Order 15-09) Fines and penalties apply to untimely filings.Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position. As a result, the employee shouldbe aware that if offered non-State employment during state employment orwithin one year immediately after ending State employment, the employeeshall, prior to accepting any such non-State employment offer, notifythe Office of the Executive Inspector General for the Agencies of theIllinois Governor (OEIG) or may be subject to a fine.r
