Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and enhance systems for accurate reporting. You will lead the accounting team while driving process improvements and supporting strategic business initiatives. Please email resume to Eric Herndon for consideration Responsibilities: u2022 Direct and manage monthly financial closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. u2022 Oversee compliance with audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements. u2022 Implement and enhance systems to improve financial reporting accuracy and adherence to accounting standards, including ASC 606. u2022 Conduct audits of inventory costing, including validations of bills of materials. u2022 Build and lead the accounting team, developing standardized procedures to streamline operations. u2022 Manage accounting processes for trade promotions and sales returns, ensuring accurate client reporting. u2022 Administer commission reporting and payments for both employee and non-employee sales teams. u2022 Deploy and manage expense management software to mitigate risks related to travel and entertainment expenses. u2022 Launch lease accounting software to ensure compliance with ASC 842 regulations. u2022 Monitor inventory levels Requirements u2022 Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management. u2022 Proficiency in Syspro and other accounting systems. u2022 Expertise in financial statement preparation and general ledger management. u2022 Strong background in month-end closing processes and reporting. u2022 Proven ability to audit and manage inventory accounting systems. u2022 Experience leading and developing accounting teams. u2022 Familiarity with trade promotions and sales return accounting. u2022 Ability to design and implement process improvements in financial operations.
