Applied Signal Technology: WHO WE ARE ( The Section Manager reports to the Software Systems/System Development Department Manager and is responsible for first-line management of a group of 8-10 software engineers who have varying levels of experience and multi-domain expertise and support various contracts across all company business divisions. The successful candidate will manage engineers who are involved with development of deliverable software/systems/products over the entire engineering development lifecycle. Although the section staff will typically work on independent projects, the Section Manager will foster collaboration and cross-fertilization of ideas and new technologies within the group. He/she will also contribute directly to engineering development as a task leader, technical leader, or individual contributor. The Section Manager position responsibilities will occupy ~15% of time performing first-line management of the section staff and ~85% of time directly performing technical development activities.
