CAD Technician

Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned. u2022 Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. u2022 Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. u2022 Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using computer aided design (CAD). u2022 Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. u2022 Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. u2022 Other duties as assigned by management. Ability to work in all AutoCAD versions and be able to quickly adapt to new CAD standards and procedures. u2022 Strong background in customer service preferred. u2022 Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, required. u2022 Be able to create and maintain accurate drawings and documents in a timely manner. u2022 Be able to read blueprints, drawing and specifications. u2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple assignments. u2022 Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal. u2022 Must be a strong team player. u2022 Must be able to keep track of time worked on projects and apply time towards each project worked to maintain utilization. u2022 Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of both manual and electronic drawings u2022 Support and operate associated plotters and printers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired. These are the requirements that we have determined are the minimum a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role. u2022 3 to 5 years CAD experience, knowledge in low voltage systems pertaining to security and life safety systems preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livermore, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
