Business Analyst

Description We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will act as a key partner to Finance, Accounting, and IT teams, leveraging your expertise to manage and enhance financial systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA. You will play a central role in improving processes, resolving system issues, and translating business needs into effective technology solutions. Responsibilities: u2022 Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP S/4HANA Finance systems, including core accounting modules and related integrations. u2022 Manage system configurations, data flows, and controls to ensure smooth operations and scalability. u2022 Lead efforts in testing system upgrades, enhancements, and patches, including designing and executing test plans. u2022 Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate results to ensure successful implementation of system changes. u2022 Troubleshoot finance system issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with IT to implement effective solutions. u2022 Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline and automate finance and accounting processes. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with business objectives. u2022 Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources for users. u2022 Support compliance, audit, and internal control requirements related to financial systems. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. u2022 At least 7 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on finance and accounting systems. u2022 Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including Fiori applications. u2022 Strong understanding of core finance and accounting processes, such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reporting. u2022 Proven experience in leading system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT). u2022 Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with IT and business stakeholders. u2022 Experience in process improvement and implementing system-driven efficiencies. u2022 Familiarity with system integrations, data flows, and internal controls.
