At iHeartMedia we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace and are looking for teammates passionate about what we do What We Need: Air talent and Assistant Program Director for WMZQ and WPOC. u2022 Responsible for communication and organization to FT and PT teams u2022 Work with promotions and digital to promote and socialize station messaging u2022 Work with imaging director for voice of station u2022 Proficient in GSelector, NexGen and Sound+ preferred u2022 Communicate with record community u2022 Attend country concerts in the area u2022 Particpate in social media u2022 Work with sales to help generate revenue What You'll Do: Responsibilities u2022 Performs news, talk, music, comedic or other format shows or program for broadcast entertainment. u2022 Establishes relationship with listeners by providing entertainment and/or information of interest consistent with format, genre, and targeted demographic audience. u2022 Interviews guests, moderates debates, converses with callers, and hosts live events. u2022 Adheres to all guidelines, policies and procedures of the station, iHeatMedia, the FCC and all other federal, state and local laws, including policies and procedures regarding indecency and obscenity. u2022 Prepares for an air shift using creativity, imagination and exercise of independent professional judgment in writing, producing, interviewing, taping or broadcasting on-air material. u2022 Ensures logged commercials, promotions and any other programming essential to the stations operation are aired. u2022 Maintains a website personality page and participates in social media. u2022 Participates in required station Programming, Promotions, and Sales staff meetings and events. u2022 Makes regular approved appearances at station events; serves as ambassador for the radio station(s) when out in public. u2022 Executes only the interviews and events on air that are approved by Program Director; follows designated show format. u2022 Assists with voice over and production of paid and non-paid spots required to run on the station. u2022 Serves as primary creative voice and directs support staff of show/station. u2022 Researches and gains knowledge of subject matter that facilitates speaking extemporaneously and providing immediate non-scripted analysis/commentary. u2022 Finalizes content using digital audio editing software. u2022 Prepares written content, visual images, audio material and video footage for websites, blogs, or other social media platforms. u2022 Checks studio equipment for proper functioning and notifies Engineering of technical malfunctions affecting quality of the broadcast. u2022 Handles emergency inserts (e.g. news updates and breaking stories, emergencies, alert system tests, etc.); is on call for possible disasters, breaking news, or acts of nature.
