Oracle ERP DBA

Description We are seeking an experienced Oracle ERP Database Administrator (DBA) to support a critical financial system environment for a government client in Richmond, VA. This role focuses on maintaining and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle APEX applications, along with the underlying Oracle database infrastructure. While most work will be performed remotely, candidates must reside within a 2-hour driving distance of Richmond, VA to attend occasional on-site meetings and events. Key Responsibilities + Administer and support Oracle databases (version 19c) and related environments + Maintain and support Oracle EBS R12 modules (GL, AP, AR) + Support ~25 Oracle APEX applications (versions 21 & 24) including workflow features + Perform quarterly security patching, system upgrades, and database maintenance + Manage deployments and changes for APEX applications + Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, issues, and incidents + Create and manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs) and ensure timely resolution + Utilize Oracle job scheduler for automation and maintenance tasks + Write scripts for routine data loads and operational support + Support database upgrades and migration initiatives + Participate in occasional after-hours or weekend work for patching activities + Develop and maintain technical documentation + Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide accurate effort estimates Requirements Required Qualifications + 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database Administration (version 19c) + 5+ years supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 in a Linux environment + 5+ years of experience with Oracle APEX (versions 21 & 24) and workflows + Strong experience with: + Database maintenance, patching, and upgrades + Oracle job scheduler + SQL and PL/SQL + Windows and Linux operating systems + Solid understanding of RDBMS principles and Oracle best practices + Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) (Agile and/or Waterfall) + Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Experience creating clear technical documentation Preferred Qualifications + Experience deploying changes for APEX applications + Experience designing Oracle-based solutions + Experience migrating Oracle EBS and databases from on-prem (PCA) to cloud environments (OCI preferred) + Familiarity with Unified Auditing + Prior experience in a healthcare environment Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.u00ae Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
