Electrical Substation Cost Estimator

Raleigh, NC Contract Duration: 6 Months Contract Job Description: + Review and interpret engineering plans with accuracy. + Perform and document detailed quantity takeoffs for civil works, building construction, high and low voltage electrical and mechanical installation. + Develop unit costs using industry standards for labour, equipment, and materials. + Estimate construction costs from engineering drawings and specs. Responsibilities: + Evaluate subcontractor pricing and change requests. + Maintain and contribute to the Client construction cost database. + Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Experience: + 5+ years of experience in construction cost estimating, preferably in electrical substations. + Proficiency with estimating software such as Prost or ProEst. + Strong understanding of industry labour, equipment, and material cost standards. Skillsets: + Low voltage electrical and mechanical installation. + Use estimates to support construction scheduling.
