Description: We are looking for an Associate Manager, Cable and Harness Design to join the team that creates Wire Harness and Cable Design for space applications The team supports multiple lines of business at Lockheed Martin which means you could be designing wiring systems for the next mission to Mars or the next generation of GPS satellites. Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you. - - - What does this role look like? u2022 You will provide leadership, functional management and technical direction to a team of approximately 12 engineers responsible for electromechanical engineering research, design, development, and production support for the Harness Core Team. u2022 As a Associate Manager of Cable and Harness Design, you will be responsible to provide the functional directorate, program management, and their customersu2019 effective project management, accurate and detailed plans and schedules and efficient production support. You will also be capable of furthering the departmentu2019s development, growth, and expertise. - - - Key activities you will accomplish in this role: u2022 Provide leadership on a fast paced team from requirements through development and production. u2022 Be responsible to assure coordination between functional groups during the product development life cycle. u2022 Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer. u2022 Conducting personnel management for a portion of the NGI Wiring team. u2022 Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training. u2022 Responsible for performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. u2022 Participate in technical reviews and audits. - - - To be effective in this role, you will need: u2022 Staffing and headcount management experience. u2022 Control Account Management (CAM) experience within an Earned Value Management (EVM) system. u2022 While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required. - - - Why Lockheed Martin? Letu2019s do Space Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related STEM discipline, or equivalent experience focused in STEM project engineering leadership, or an MBA degree. u2022 Prior experience in Control Account Management (CAM). u2022 Prior experience as a project/program lead. u2022 Must be a US Citizen; this position will require the ability to obtain government security clearance. Desired Skills: u2022 Experience in leading Zuken schematic/cabling drafting tool (or similar) and Creo 3D modeling tool (or similar) design teams, programs, or projects. u2022 Collate with subsystems, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products. u2022 Experience in presenting to leadership and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
