Associate Professional Specialist Princeton University: Office of the Dean of the Faculty: Social Sciences: History LocationDickinson Hall Open DateApr 15, 2026 Salary Range or Pay Grade$65,000 - $85,000 DeadlineJun 01, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time DescriptionThe history department seeks an associate professional specialist in residence to support the Delaware History Project. This is a full-time one-semester fellowship either for the Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 term. The fellow's primary duty will be to support research on Lenape history using local archives and museum holdings while liaising with Lenape research partners. The fellow will work closely with Professor Elizabeth Ellis and will be expected to work collaboratively on the Delaware History Project. This will include regular meetings with students and faculty and helping develop plans for sharing research findings. We seek candidates who are eager to engage with our campus community and who have demonstrated excellence working with Lenape communities. Candidates should have a strong background in Lenape history and culture and have archival research skills. They do not need to hold a PhD, but experience working in academic settings is preferred. Candidates will be evaluated and compensated according to their academic qualifications and professional terested candidates should submit a CV, a personal statement explaining their expertise and interest in the position, a research proposal for their time at Princeton, and two letters of recommendation.This position is subject to the University's background check policy.
