Conducts and reviews tax research to stay updated on tax laws and regulations. Supervises and reviews all tax-related correspondence to maintain effective communication and documentation. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address tax issues and implement solutions. Manages and mentors tax managers, tax analysts, and senior tax analysts, assigning tasks and reviewing their work. Supervises the completion of annual tax information reporting packages at the facility level. Oversees and reviews documents and data required for the annual return preparation process at the corporate level. Assigns, prepares, and reviews correspondence, including notices from taxing authorities and results of inquiries from the field. Prepares and reviews state registrations and similar questionnaires/surveys as assigned. Manages the review and registration process with payroll. Other duties as assigned. Performs detailed reviews of prepared tax returns and all accompanying documents. Prepares and reviews documentation of tax research conclusions.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Experience in conducting tax research and analysis and developing sound written conclusions [Required]• Ability to effectively communicate tax law concepts to organization leaders [Required]• Solid time management and organization skills [Required]• Ability to develop concise and effective written correspondence [Required]• Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.), including lookups, pivot tables, and formulas [Required]• Advanced verbal and writing skills [Required]• Understanding and familiarity with AdventHealth, including legal entity structure [Preferred]• Advanced system/application/data troubleshooting [Preferred]Education:• Bachelor's [Required]Field of Study:• of Business Administration in AccountingWork Experience:• 4+ u.s. tax-exempt law specialization, preferably in tax-exempt healthcare [Required]• 9+ u.s. income tax law work experience, preferably in public accounting [Required]Additional Information:• N/ALicenses and Certifications:• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) [Preferred]Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements)Physical Requirements - Range:$96,266.14 - $179,045.63This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
