The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to create and deliver high impact presentations to customers,executivesand employees, and have the mindset that supports DHL’s corporate strategies and goals. The positionis responsible fora highly motivated, empowered team of professionals dedicated to ensuring DHL’s adherence to unit cost management, operationalcomplianceand service excellence. The candidate reports to the SVP, US Network Operations for DHL Express.Key Responsibilities:Is a part of the US Operations Senior Management TeamWorks closely with regional and global partners to ensure DHL compliance with regards to safety.Leads the U.S. Safety Team to ensure safety compliance and prevention of incidentsActs as subject matter expert on safety policyMaintain awareness of change in regulatory and governmental ordinancesEstablishes and implements policy changeAnalyzes work area hazards and injuries todetermineroot cause and target procedural, instructional or equipment changes to prevent reoccurrenceMonitors andreviewsworker's compensation claims ofemployeesdata detailing cost, lost time, claim frequency, and claim durationSupports periodic claims reviews with management, adjusters,attorneysand casualty claims analystsLead, foster, and sustain a culture that instills safety as a core value at all levels of developmentSkills & Qualifications:Typically requires BS/BA and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in related fieldOperational&/or industrybackground preferredAbility to shape direction and influence senior managementCapability and subtlety to navigate through a matrix organizationAbility to successfully manage a team, including peer managers and senior managersExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of managers and executivesMust display a confident demeanor always while always supporting DHL values and 4 Pillars: Motivated People, Great Service Quality, Loyal Customers, and Profitable NetworkEmployee Benefits & IncentivesDHL Express benefits and incentive offerings are designed to reflect a substantial experience for both employees and their dependents during their career and life journey.
