Job Description

The Credit Controller Vice President is a strategic professional who closely follows the latest credit-related trends and adapts them for application within the Controllers organization and their own job. Requires advanced commercial awareness and knowledge of credit reserves, balance sheet accounting, and risk and controls. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in the Finance and Credit Risk organizations. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables at the entity and enterprise level, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function and job family.Responsibilities:Establish and maintain central oversight of the financial and accounting processes within the Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) frameworkEnsure the integrity of CECL-related data, from model results to ledger entries, by implementing critical reconciliations, managing credit loss activity, and substantiating all related accounts to guarantee accurate financial and regulatory reporting while strengthening our internal control environment over a complex processManage and monitor the quarterly financial close process, including posting journal entries as neededDrive process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen controlsComply with relevant policies and procedures, including ongoing maintenance of all documentationAct as trusted advisor to key stakeholders across the Finance and Risk organizationsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparencyQualifications:6-10 years of relevant experience, in banking or financial services preferredStrong knowledge of technical accounting, with credit reserve experience preferred, data analysis, and financial reportingSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal guidanceHigh attention to detail and accuracy with a strong controls mindsetDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environmentExcellent communication and diplomacy skills to influence othersAdvanced Microsoft Office skillsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Finance------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Financial Accounting------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:Getzville New York United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$92, - $138,In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
