Overview Registered Nurse - Operating Room in Cambridge, MA. Start on 05/05/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Guaranteed 40 hours per week with a 4x10-hour shift (7: 00 am-5:30 pm). Weekly pay range: $2,852-$2,902 per week. This role is in a hospital operating room setting.Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered at the local rate (posted rate minus $8).Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,852-$2,902 per week - Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 4x10-hour days (7:00 am-5:30 pm) - Start date: 05/05/2026 - Setting: Hospital operating room - Local rate option: locals within 50 miles eligible for local rate (posted rate minus $8) Responsibilities - Provide direct perioperative nursing care in the operating room, including circulating and/or scrub roles, to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. - Prepare the OR, assist with surgical procedures, maintain sterile technique, manage instrumentation and equipment, and support the surgical team (surgeons, anesthesiologists, techs). - Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative period, document pertinent findings, and coordinate with anesthesia and post-anesthesia care. - Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR (EPIC experience preferred) and ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and hospital policies. - Participate in room turnover, equipment maintenance, and timely communication with the team; be flexible with on-call responsibilities and weekend coverage as required. - Interact with patients and families pre- and post-operatively as appropriate, and ensure comprehension of care plans and postoperative instructions.
