The Backyard Café at Sunriver Resort is hiring Café/Cart Attendants to help deliver delicious food, refreshing drinks, and exceptional guest experiences.The Café / Golf Cart Attendant is responsible for performing general cashier and serving duties in the resort cafes. They are responsible for ensuring the standards of service in assigned outlets. The Café / Golf Cart Attendant will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.The Café/ Golf Cart Attendant will always conduct themselves in a manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. He/She/They shall strive to deliver exceptional service to all internal and external guests at all times. In this role, they are responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture and actively supporting our Vision and Mission to be the destination of choice for our guests, owners, and associates.Takes guests orders using POS systemReceives proper and accurate payment from guestsDistributes appropriate changeAccurately reports tips and hours each shift using proper documentsAdheres to OLCC and Sunriver Resort policies and procedures Ensures bookkeeping policies and procedures are followed dailyAssists chefs/cooks with food preparationPrepares specialty drinksCounts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shift and end of shift to ensure the amounts are correct and there is adequate changeServes guests food and beverages tablesideWipes down tables and ensures cleanliness of café Informs and promotes guests of daily specialsChecks guests’ identification to ensure minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beveragesRemoves dishes, glasses, silverware or other item from tables and countertops and takes them to the kitchen for proper sanitationFamiliarizes him/herself with menuOffers creative selling of products to guestsAnswers questions and/or makes recommendations on menus as neededExplains how various menu items are prepared, describing cooking methods and ingredientsTakes into consideration any special request, dietary issues made by the guestProvides general resort information for guestsOffers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guestMaintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special eventsInteracts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary informationRestocks grab and go stations as necessaryHigh school education requiredPrior hospitality experience preferredAt least six months food & beverage experience preferred At least one year customer service experience preferred At least six months POS system experience preferredBasic computer skills to include Microsoft Must always ensure a teamwork environmentMust have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid OLCC cardMust have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid Oregon Food Handler’s permitMust be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 30 lbsMust be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbsMust be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; and overhead reaching, squeezing occasionally#SunriverResort
