Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Inspector will inspect stamped metal parts in a sheet metal stamping environment, ensuring they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. This role uses precision measuring tools, interprets blueprints, documents inspection results, and collaborates closely with production to identify and resolve quality issues. Responsibilities + Inspect stamped metal parts during inu2011process and final inspection to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. + Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to verify part dimensions and tolerances. + Verify parts against engineering drawings and blueprints, confirming all critical features and dimensions. + Document inspection results clearly and accurately, and maintain organized quality records. + Identify nonu2011conforming parts, segregate them appropriately, and communicate findings to production personnel. + Follow established quality procedures, inspection standards, and work instructions at all times. + Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on recurring quality issues and suggesting process enhancements. + Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe inspection area in accordance with company standards. Essential Skills + Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. + Basic to intermediate experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. + Working knowledge of inspection practices in a manufacturing or sheet metal environment. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy when inspecting parts and recording data. + Comfort documenting inspection results clearly and consistently in written or electronic formats. + Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) concepts. + Experience performing inspection tasks and quality checks as a Quality Inspector or similar role. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with CMM (coordinate measuring machine) inspection is a plus. + Experience in inspection of metal stamping or sheet metal components is beneficial. + Ability to follow standardized quality procedures and inspection standards. + Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with production and quality team members. + Ability to support continuous improvement efforts by identifying trends in nonu2011conformances. The role supports both custom and production jobs in a sheet metal stamping facility, working closely with production teams and using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of NORTH BRANCH, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
