Description Job Title: FLSA Status: Temp - FT E Reports to: Kitchen Manager Rate of Pay: $450/ weekly Closing Date: 1/31/2026 Benefits: Standard; Part-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following: + Sick leave benefit u2013 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire; sick time accrual is pro-rated for part-time hours.) GENERAL DUTIES: u00b7 Attend and participate in evening programs and spiritual activities as directed. u00b7 Maintain a standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living quarters. u00b7 Assist with the clean-up of the total camp at the end of each session and at the conclusion of the summer. u00b7 Assist with evening cabin activities. u00b7 Attend and participate in Staff Orientation. u00b7 Attend and participate in all camp wide activities, campfires, staff meetings and staff devotions u00b7 Assist with Camper check-in and check-out. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Safety and Supervision u00b7 Enforce, and abide by, all camp policies and procedures u00b7 Responsible for the health and well-being of self and campers. u00b7 Maintain the utmost level of safety for staff and campers at all times u00b7 Practice and enforce all camp safety regulations and emergency procedures. + Maintain group/staff control at specialized group activities so that other support staff can focus on safety. u00b7 Ensure compliance with American Camping Association standards of safety and programmatic conduct at all times. u00b7 Coordinate and implement all program components relative to the daily schedule in a timely fashion. u00b7 Attend relevant in-service trainings. Weekly Responsibilities u00b7 Assist Kitchen Manager and Kitchen staff in maintaining kitchen cleanliness. u00b7 Attend and participate in Staff Orientation u00b7 Attend and participate in all camp wide activities, campfires, staff meetings and staff devotions, when able u00b7 Assist kitchen supervisor in all duties. u00b7 Assist in maintaining all functions a kitchen requires. u00b7 Assist in maintaining proper cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of the kitchen. u00b7 Perform all other duties and roles assigned. + Due to the particular nature of the camp program in session, you may be asked to assist in duties not directly related to this specific job description. This is necessary for the smooth operation of the camp. Godu2019s love will be more evident in your actions than your words + Remember that God loves you, and we love you Qualification and Education Requirements: u00b7 18+ years of age. u00b7 Current First Aid and CPR certification (may be obtained at camp). u00b7 Must have or obtain ServSafe certification at time of employment. u00b7 Experience in foodservice and cleaning, preferably in camp setting. u00b7 Familiar with USDA standards. u00b7 Organizational and time management skills. u00b7 Maintain a high standard of personal and communal living and behaviors. u00b7 Be supportive of The Salvation Armyu2019s mission. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to operate telephone. Ability to lift to 25 pounds. Ability to access and produce information from the computer. Ability to understand written information.
