This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with a strong hospitality background and established relationships in meetings, events, and leisure space.What You’ll DoPlan, sell, and manage social events, weddings, and catering functionsConduct site tours and client consultationsMaximize event space and revenue opportunitiesDevelop detailed event plans, BEOs, and client documentationBuild strong relationships with wedding planners, vendors, and repeat clientsCollaborate closely with Food & Beverage and Culinary teamsActively pursue new catering business and sales leadsManage event budgets, contracts, and post-event evaluationsEnsure exceptional service delivery from contract to event execution Requirements What We’re Looking For5+ years of Catering or Event Sales Management experienceAssociate degree in Events Management or related field (preferred)Strong sales, forecasting, and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsPhysical Demands:Ability to work long hours as neededAbility to lift 25 lbs.Ability to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to squat and bendMental Demands:Read, write and speak English fluentlyAbility to communicate effectively with the public and other colleaguesImpeccable work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skillsAttention to detailAble to work independently and follow directives from leadershipWhy LaPlaya?At LaPlaya, our people are our greatest asset.
