Job Title: Senior Paralegal Job Category: Service Contract Act Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: DOJ MBI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US The Opportunity: CACI is looking for talented Senior Paralegal professionals to support the Department of Justiceu2019s mission As a CACI Senior Paralegal supporting the DOJu2019s mission, you will gain invaluable knowledge and transferrable skills related to eDiscovery practice and procedures. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Department of Justice legal team assigned to the Radiation Exposure Compensation Program (u201cRECAu201d). Senior Paralegals may be tasked with performing legal duties pertaining to the RECA Call Center, to include answering questions from RECA applicants who call the RECA 1-800 line and interpreting regulations pertaining to the RECA statute. Responsibilities: + Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor. + Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by claims examiners and attorney.Maintaining case files.Performing simple legal and/or factual dexing, tracking and controlling case related materials (including claimant related files).Reviewing documents for legal sufficiency according to established guidelines and criteria. Qualifications: _Required:_ + Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study, or an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted. + At least 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, including 1 year of experience in automated litigation support + Sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources. + Excellent written and oral communication skills. + Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw. + Hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems, e.g., Relativity, Excel, JEFS/, Word, Zoom, Teams, Power Point, and social media tools + Hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources. + Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure. + Advanced skills with Excel. + Professional, can-do, customer-service attitude. + DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US citizenship required) This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. Pay Range: This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACIu2019s government contract for the work location.u200b Minimum Required Hourly Wage: There are a host of other factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographical location, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
